With the added airflow, this Anti-Surge Ring will get you the performance you want without the potential damage that comes from a surging turbocharger. 

Furthermore, the stock intake air-horn on the L5P is commonly replaced because it necks down just before the turbocharger which creates a low-pressure zone in front of the turbo. This low-pressure zone lowers turbo efficiency at "high load".
