1997-2001 Renault Laguna I 1.4 1.6 16V Throttle Body 7700102870 7700875435 Generic

Bought this for a 2010 Ford Escape limited 2.5l. We had the infamous throttle body stuck open problem, dealership would not replace unless the code P2111 or P2112 would come up on their OBD scanner. If you have had this issue you know the code disappears when you restart the vehicle.Not realistic to try and drive it to dealer on the limp mode cycle when problem occurs, or leave vehicle running for 1 hour( service managers instructions to get code to store in memory) while shaking terribly. We decided it was just less hassle and cheaper to replace ourselves. One trip to dealer for OBD scan is $100 and if code is not there you are stuck paying that, and still no replacement part, plus gas for 2 vehicles to drop it off at shop. You get the picture. We replaced this part in less then 10 minutes, (plenty of you tube videos that will show you how to replace and and have computer relearn the new part). This fit perfectly and is working great as of first day. Gave a 4 star rating instead of 5 because gasket is not included( we used original gasket with 150k , still looked good) Will update if any issues arrise.

I hear people complain about the idle speed but I'm not sure if it's because they haven't tuned the car after throttle body. I'm on a standalone aces efi system and it doesn't idle a bit high but I'm sure after tuning a bit more over time it'll bring the idle down to the desired point.
