This item threads into the engine block, and the oil filter then threads onto it. These are perfect for replacing damaged units, or deleting an oil cooler as you would when installing an Explorer engine in your Mustang.
Unlike the oddball 11mm Allen wrench the Ford part requires for installation, ours is 1/2" hex. Simply use a 1/2" bolt (like an intake bolt off of almost every Small Block Ford), thread a nut onto it, and turn it in with a 1/2" wrench. Easy!
