The reason I purchased this ABS Pump Control Module my Explorer from UCAR Parts was that it offer the programing , this item was shipped with NO programing, it was determined that after it was installed and the technician put the computer on the car , and now I need to remove and uninstalled the module which will cost me $250 to remove the Control Module by the technician, and send it away to get it programed from someone else for another $85 programing fee and reinstalled it again for another $250 installation fee from the mechanic.. This is totally unacceptable and very irresponsible of UCAR not verifying that this module was programmed before shipping. I could’ve ordered this part on Amazon for the same price or cheaper with local vendors without the programming, but because you,, UCAR, offer the free programming, I went ahead and ordered from you all, and now it will cost me double if not more.. I was deceived by UCAR parts with false advertising. ORDER UCP67132
I used this rebuild kit on a G4NH 2.0L while freshening up an engine out of a 2019 Elantra, and overall it went together without any major issues. Everything in the kit matched up to the factory parts and tolerances looked good. Bearings, gaskets, and seals all fit the way they should.
The parts were packaged well and nothing showed up damaged or questionable. Clearances checked out during assembly and the engine turned over smooth by hand before startup. After getting it back in the car and running, oil pressure came right up and it’s been quiet so far with no leaks.
Obviously it’s not OEM pricing, but for a full rebuild on a budget this kit makes sense. Plus, many of the parts are better quality if not the same as from dealer. If you’re doing the work yourself and double-check measurements like you should, it’s a solid option and saved a lot over dealer parts.
